Japan — Kyoto

Kyoto moves noticeably slower than Tokyo, and thus it was a nice mid-trip break. We stayed at Kanra, a modern ryokan in the heart of the city. From there we found our way up to Arabica Coffee, which is a beautiful modern shop surrounded by traditional architecture. Other must visit spots are Stardust, Kiln, Loftman, D_Mall, and Kyoto Bal (an amazing department store with a Margaret Howell Cafe).
